Thank You,

Your interest in adopting a rescued AKK is greatly appreciated
Currently there are NO dogs in need of new homes

In 2002 the North East Alaskan Klee Kai Association (NEAKKA) established and gained official UKC Recognition for an Alaskan Klee Kai Breed Rescue Group.  Because AKK are truly precious.....the NEAKKA Board of Directors chose to call our Rescue Group "Precious Paws AKK Rescue"

Fortunately, rescue has not been a problem for the AKK Breed, however, as our great little ones become more and more popular the possibility of rescue becomes greater and greater.

Therefore UAKKA, through Precious Paws AKK Rescue, stands ready to make sure that ANY and ALL Alaskan Klee Kai in need of RE-HOMING find new loving homes.

*****  UPDATE*****

In 2006 the UAKKA BOD began the procedure for releasing Precious Paws from UAKKAs control with the hopes that one day, there would be One Rescue for the breed.  In October of 2008 The BOD of UAKKA voted  5-1 to keep Precious Paws in tact until which time there is a real organization and the members vote to participate in a organized and recognized national rescue.

We are here for YOU,

The UNITED ALASKAN KLEE KAI ASSOCIATION (UAKKA) (originally known as The North East Alaskan Klee Kai Association) was formed to do everything possible to
protect, promote and advance the best interests, health and welfare of purebred Alaskan Klee Kai (AKK) and to continue to bring their natural qualities to
perfection through responsible breeding practices; and to promote the recognition and acceptance of the AKK as a separate and distinct breed of Nordic and Spitz heritage.
